Welcome to  Our goal is to provide customer oriented concealed carry instruction to the citizens of Kentucky.

I will not be conducting any additional classes until the Spring of 2013.                                                                                                                                                  Customer oriented concealed carry instruction.  Located in Bowling Green, Ky.  Please call 270-792-1261 or email to discuss CCDW class options for individuals, couples, or groups.

Getting your CCDW permit is easier than you might think:

The first step is to sign up for a training course offered by an instructor certified by the KY Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT).

The class is an 8 hour class divided into approximately 6 hours in the classroom and 2 hours on the range.  I instruct primarily on Saturdays, but can arrange instruction to fit your schedule.  The fee for the class if $75.00 with a possible $10 range fee depending on where the shooting portion of the class is given.

The class is designed to inform the student/applicant on current state and federal laws regarding firearms and their concealment.  The material ranges from firearms safety, handgun operation, the principles of marksmanship, maintenance and cleaning, to live fire testing.

The shooting portion of the test is conducted at 7 yards and requires the applicant to place 11 rounds out of 20 into a silhouette style target(B-21, example found here: )

Most people, given proper instruction find this an easy task to complete.  One retest is allowed if needed, and the instructor can allow practice shots with instruction provided in real time prior to the test.

What will you need to bring to the class?

  • a handgun of any caliber or type

  • 50 rounds of ammunition of the same caliber as your gun(.38, 9mm, .40, .45)  Please feel free to contact me if you are unsure of your ammunition needs.  Most common caliber ammunition is easily purchased at the sporting goods section of most shopping stores or at any good gun shop.

  • a holster or case for the gun.  A holster is best, but a gun case is fine too.  Call if you have any questions regarding your needs.

  • a pistol cleaning kit suitable for the gun you will be using

  • eye and ear protection

  • a pen and some paper to take notes during the course. I provide pen and paper, but some may prefer to bring their own.

If you have any questions regarding what you will need to bring to the class, please email or call me. I would be happy to talk with you regarding the class.

Please take a moment to look at the laws regulating the cocealed carry license process in Kentucky on the other pages.
Thank you for considering for your CCDW licensing needs.
